The 16th Annual Garden Jubilee Festival is a spectacular two day festival that celebrates the growing season in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. This area provides a healthy environment for growing a vast variety of flowers and plants. The festival is held annually on Memorial Day weekend in Historic Downtown Hendersonville. Garden Jubilee is the ideal festival for garden lovers searching for the perfect plants and unique lawn & garden accessories and arts & crafts. Bring a wagon or cart to make transporting your plants easier.
Garden Jubilee offers over 125 vendors selling handmade arts and crafts, plants and items to enhance your outdoor living area. Nurseries selling many varieties of annuals, perennials, vegetables, trees, shrubs, and hard to find plants will be located on every block of the festival. A great way to enhance the beauty of a garden is to add garden ornamentation. There will also be delicious food to satisfy any appetite. Vendors will be located on the wide sidewalks of Historic Downtown Hendersonville from Sixth Avenue to Second Avenue. Main Street will be closed to traffic from Second Avenue to Caswell Street, with vendors lining both sides of the street.
Bill Slack has been a landscape and gardening specialist with Southern Living Magazine for 16 years and is making his 7th apperance at Garden Jubilee. He will be giving clinics in the Lowe's lawn and garden tent located at the Visitors Information Center, 201 South Main Street. Mr. Slack will offer three talks on Saturday, May 23 -11:00 AM "A Picture Perfect Landscape," 1:00 PM "Pathways, Patios & Plants: Southern Living's Finishing Touches," and 3:00 PM "Container Gardening - Secrets of the Pros, "Sunday, May 24 - 1:00 PM "A Picture Perfect Landscape" and 3:00 PM"Pathways, Patios & Plants: Southern Living's Finishing Touches." He is a registered landscape architect, author and lecturer appearing on many national radio & TV programs. He was named the Outstanding Extension Landscape Architect in the United States by the American Society of Landscape Architects. Bill has completed his 19th publication Southern Living Garden Guide to Landscaping. In between Mr. Slack's talks, product representatives from Scott's, Spectracide, Pennington Lawn & Garden Products and Old Castle will give informative talks and helpful tips.
Located at the Visitors Information Center, 201 South Main Street will be the Lowe’s Expo offering garden clinics, plants, a hands-on kids clinic and beautiful displays. Nationally known lawn and garden product specialist will be giving one-on-one-advice. If you have a question or need advice about your garden or lawn, you've come to the right place. The Lowe's Kids Clinic located at the Visitors Information Center (both days) will offer fun hands-on projects for children ages 4-12.
The Hendersonville Lions Club is sponsoring the Blind Ducky Racing fundraiser. Rubber ducks race down the Patton Park creek at 5:00PM on Sunday, May 24. Visit their booth at the festival to adopt a duck. Please leave your pets comfortably at home as a Hendersonville City ordinance prohibits animals in the event area.

Vendor Information
If you are interested in being a vendor at the Garden Jubilee Festival you must meet the following criteria and meet the requirements of the Garden Jubilee committee.
There are 3 categories of vendors: Crafts, Nursery and Food.
Craft Vendors: Merchandise must be garden related handmade arts & crafts or lawn & garden accessories.
Nursery Vendors: Annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, trees, strubs, hard to find plants and garden related merchandise
Food Vendors: Must have current insurance and meet The Health Department's temporary food vendor regulations.
To inquire about participating in the Garden Jubilee, email, call or mail a description of all of your merchandise.
SELECTION PROCESS:
PLEASE NOTE: We do not send applications in response to each request. Applicants work must meet the festival requirements and quality of items. Acceptance is at the discretion of the festival commitee.
